What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When a new client is in need of our services, we like to first meet face to face in order to assess the areas they'd like work on. We love to hear any ideas they may have and brainstorm with our clients to bring what they have envisioned to life! We will suggest types of plants that will flourish in the specific area of the job, and provide you with a sketch drawing of the area, so you can picture what it will look like. We will then provide you with an estimated cost for the services you wish to have done. Once approved, we will schedule a time that's convenient for you to begin the lawn care and or landscaping services.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We have over 20 years in combined experience in the lawn and landscaping industry.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
We began working in the lawn service industry right out of high school, when a friend started a lawn care business. Our hearts were so passionate about what we were doing, we decided to take a leap of faith, and start our own lawn and landscaping company.
What types of customers have you worked with?
There is no type of customer at Parish Lawn & Landscaping! We offer the same great service to anyone big or small. We have a wide variety of customers ranging from small residential yards to acres of land and commercial properties.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Our most recent project was redoing the landscaping at Bayou Braces in New Iberia. This project took a weekend and involved removing existing landscaping, re-configuring flower bed layouts & installing new landscape.
They were so satisfied by this job, we are now in the process of redoing their new Lafayette location, which is the former La-Z-Boy building.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Its always best to find someone who loves what they do and is passionate about the job at hand. We believe in supporting small businesses and always suggest to shop locally to support our community!
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Its always best to have a budget on the project you want completed. While an idea of what you are envisioning is great, it isn't necessary, as we can help guide you along the way and suggest material types to fit your budget, big or small!
